We care about your feet and want them to stay warm and dry when on the slopes and in the snow.
Here at Rapid, we stock boots for the whole family that are perfect for walking around the village. They are waterproof and breathable, ensuring comfort all day long. Après-ski boots are great when you have finished carving it up on the slopes. Our boots from Rojo and XTM will allow you to stroll around without getting cold feet or slipping on the ice. Most boots are insulated for warm toes and can be adjusted if your feet swell after a hard day in the snow. We can't have you looking bad in the snow, so our boots come in a variety of colours and look fashionable.
Socks are all important when skiing and snowboarding. We often get asked - Can I wear normal socks when skiing? In short, no. An ankle or no-show sock is not recommended for ski or snowboard boots. You need a sock that comes up your shin to offer protection from the boot. The ideal ski sock is one that is not too thick with no seams or ridges, as they won't restrict your blood flow. Merino socks are itch-free and moisture-wicking, which helps keep your feet dry and warm. When skiing, a thicker sock or one with padding on the shin is preferred because ski boots can be quite hard and painful on the shine. Snowboarding boots are softer than ski boots so you can wear thinner long socks.
